To keep your scalp clean, mix shampoo and water in a spray bottle and spray the mixture directly onto the scalp in between the parts of the cornrow base. Massage the scalp to remove dirt and product buildup, then rinse thoroughly.

When washing the hair, start by brushing out all tangles from the bottom to the top. For curly hair, avoid brushing and instead use your fingers to comb out tangles. Wash the hair with a synthetic shampoo in lukewarm water, then apply conditioner and allow the fiber to absorb it for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Gently squeeze out excess water and pat dry with a clean towel, avoiding rubbing. Let the hair air dry for best results.
