To cleanse the scalp, mix shampoo and water in a spray bottle. Directly spray the mixture onto the scalp between the parts of the cornrow base. Massage the entire scalp to remove any product build-up, and rinse thoroughly.

Before washing the hair, brush to eliminate all tangles, starting from the bottom and working up to the weft. For curly hair, avoid brushing and instead finger comb to detangle. Wash the hair with synthetic shampoo in lukewarm water. Apply conditioner and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Gently squeeze out excess water; do not rub. Pat dry with a clean towel and allow it to air dry.
