To cleanse your scalp, mix shampoo and water in a spray bottle and spray the mixture directly on the scalp between the parts in a cornrow base. Massage the entire scalp to release any dirt or product build-up, then rinse thoroughly.

Before washing the braid, brush out all tangles starting from the bottom and work your way up to the top. For curly hair, do not brush; instead, finger comb to remove all tangles. Wash the hair with a synthetic shampoo in lukewarm water, apply conditioner, and allow the fiber to absorb the conditioner for a couple of minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Gently squeeze out excess water, pat dry with a clean towel, and air dry for best results.
