For scalp cleansing, create a mixture of shampoo and water in a spray bottle. Spray the mixture directly onto the scalp in between the parts of the cornrow base. Massage the scalp thoroughly to remove any dirt or product buildup, then rinse with water.

When washing the hair, start by brushing out all tangles from the bottom and work your way up to the top. For curly hair, avoid using a brush and instead finger comb to remove tangles. Wash the hair with a synthetic shampoo in lukewarm water. Apply conditioner and allow the fiber to absorb it for a few minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Gently squeeze out excess water and pat dry with a clean towel. Let the hair air dry naturally.
